Jingshan Garden Hotel, Beijing

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was spacious, modern, and spotlessly clean every day. The service was exceptional, especially thanks to Lulu, the hotel manager, who went out of their way to assist us. The location was perfect for exploring the Forbidden City and nearby attractions. The dining experience was satisfying, offering a variety of Chinese and Western dishes. The facilities were top-notch, making my stay even more enjoyable.

The location in a Beijing hutong was truly special, giving me a taste of authentic Chinese living. While the plumbing and showers worked well, the limited space meant our 6-year-old had to share our big bed. The service was exceptional, especially during the hectic 70th anniversary celebrations, with staff going above and beyond to assist with various challenges travelers face in China. The location is a gem, offering a real taste of old Beijing right by the Forbidden City and Jingshan Garden, although the nearby slum alley area may not appeal to everyone. Dining in the courtyard restaurant was a delight, with simple yet excellent offerings. The facilities were satisfactory, catering to essential needs during our stay.
